Honda ‘Homemade’ Cars —-New TV Advertising Campaign

Honda (UK) is launching an extensive campaign, centered round the British-built Honda Civic Car. As reported a new 60 second film made by Wieden and Kennedy London is expected to hit TV screens today, 18th January. This film shows the development history of  Honda Engineering into what they are today. The total back ground depicts the various stages covered and the products added from time to time in their production programme. They started from auto cars and then moving on to the marine engines. The added a vast range of motorcycles and now the latest humanoid robot, ASIMO. All this presents a solid base strength behind their auto business. This film will be played for six weeks in a big way starting ‘everything’ debuts on 18th January. ‘Everything’ means all detailed Honda success story.

The manager communications at Honda (UK) has commented that decades of much appreciated engineering innovations describes what Honda is today. They are now able to use their know-how to constantly evolve huge range of products sold today and the new ones that will sell in the future. Honda badge carries their engineering DNA. He continues to say that this opportunity should be availed to celebrate the success of the Honda expertise and the hugely popular British-built Civic.

The shooting of ‘everything’ took its time and toll at the Honda’s UK training centre—Honda institute. Reportedly about 1000 edits were done and a number of re-shoots taken. The soundtrack is managed by ‘The Battles’. The Civic is produced at the plant in Swindon, Wiltshire. From there it is exported to 60 countries through out Europe. This plant also makes compact SUV, CR-V and has recently started the Jazz super mini for the Europe.
